Name	Description
Adapter	Bridging rosette, two connector coupling device.
Connector	A device for optical fiber connection in the way, which provides easy adjustment. Combined with adapters connector performs the same function as plug and socket for electrical wiring systems.
Fiber optic Cable	One or more optic fibers in casing with reinforcing elements, which provides mechanical protection and protection against environmental influences.
Patch cord	Fiber optic cable segment with attached connectors in both ends. It is used for connecting the hardware to the end socket of cross-panel optical connections, the distribution socket for individual fiber crossing with another, in addition for optical signal weakening (patch cord IN-LINE).
Pigtail	Fiber optic cable segment, with attached connector in one end. In Manufacturing is usually used an optical fiber with a diameter of 900 mkm (fiber in plastic protective covering).
